I would like to say from the outset that the Iveco Daily, Mercedes Sprinter and VW Crafter are all excellent buses and each makes a good choice. I am a huge fan of the VW Crafter for many reasons.: The fuel consumption, drivability, full maintenance plan and the exceptional pricing. The Toyota Coaster is an exceptional bus and being a Toyota its quality speaks for itself. While the Iveco, Mercedes and VW have Minibus look and feel the Coaster is more bus like both in terms of look and driving characteristics

Overview

All 23 seater buses in South Africa are Panel Vans that get converted by SABS approved converters into 23 seaters(22 plus driver)

  • The Coaster comes fully imported as a purpose built bus.
  • Interiors are designed to customers’ needs and are not in any way unique to each manufacturer (Except for the Coaster).
  • You have a choice of various cloth or Vinyl options for the interior.
  • We specify parcel shelves as a standard item on all buses supplied by us.
  • Any bus ordered through us comes standard with Front Air Conditioning.
  • Rear Air conditioning can be fitted as an additional option, at a cost of R35 000. On the Crafter it is a beautiful integrated system.

Finance

  • We are in a position to offer finance to any school in South Africa. We make it incredibly simple and hassle free. There are no letters of permission required from the department whatsoever.
  • Loan term from 12 to 60 months. There is no deposit required. The school is however welcome to put down as much of a deposit as they wish to reduce monthly re-payments
  • Payments are R2400pm over 60 months for every R100 000 financed
  • Approval is guaranteed for all Schools

Signwriting

We would be proud to be associated with as many schools in SA as possible.  There is no charge for signwriting on the Bus. We kindly request that we are allowed to put…. BUS PROUDLY SUPPLIED BY MINIBUSES WANTED…between the back bumper and rear wheel arch.  Please note this is NOT a condition, merely a request

Any vehicle bigger than a 16 seater requires a code 10 licence

Price and Vehicle specifications:

  • Iveco Daily  It has a 3.0L 4 cylinder engine producing 107KW and 350Nm of Torque. Bus has a 6 Speed Manual Gearbox. Price is R1,125 000

  • Mercedes Benz Sprinter 519  It has a 3.0V6 engine producing 140KW and 440Nm of Torque. It has a 6 Speed Manual Gearbox. The performance of this bus is phenomenal. Price is R1,190 000

  • Mercedes Benz Sprinter 517 Identical looking and same specification as the 519. Only difference is the engine. It has a 2.2 4 Cylinder engine producing 120KW and 350NM of Torque. Price is R1,125 000

  • Toyota Coaster 2.8GL What an excellent vehicle in every respect. It has a 2.8L 4 Cylinder engine producing 110KW and 420NM of Torque driving through a 6 Speed Automatic Transmission. Price is R1,190 000

  • VW Crafter is offered with a 2.0L 4 cylinder engine producing 103KW and 340Nm of Torque with a 6 Speed Manual Gearbox. Price is R1,080 000 including a 5 year 120 000km maintenance plan

All are ultra-fuel efficient as they are Diesel and make use of the latest common rail Diesel technology

Second Hand

We can assist with a range of one owner full service history Buses. Prices range from R550 000 to R900 000.  All vehicles carry a minimum 1 year unlimited km guarantee

As you can see there is no clear cut winner. Each Bus has its own merits and each Bus as mentioned in the beginning is a good choice. From our side it is our aim to make buying a new Bus as simple as possible. If there is anything that I have not covered please let me know.
